otoplasty

The Otoplasty is the procedure to correct prominent ears, balance the facial fifths and normalize facial aesthetics.

During this surgery I make a hidden incision directly behind the ears, through which I modify the different cartilages that form them to remove their prominent appearance; in some cases it is enough to recreate the antihelix, in others what I reduce is the shell and in still other cases (the majority) I modify both cartilages. The result: natural, harmonic and without the stigmata of surgery.

Although this surgery is most commonly performed on young adults, it can also be done in childhood: starting at age 5, when the ears have completed most of their growth, this helps children and girls to avoid bullying and name calling during their school life. While in children it is performed under general anesthesia, in young people and adults it can be performed under local anesthesia with or without sedation.
