Otoplasty

The Otoplasty It is the procedure to correct prominent ears, balance facial fifths and normalize facial aesthetics.

During this surgery, I make a hidden incision directly behind the ears, through which I modify the different cartilages that form them to reduce their prominent appearance. In some cases, it is enough to recreate the antihelix; in others, I reduce the concha; and in most cases, I modify both cartilages. The result: natural, harmonious, and without any visible signs of surgery.

While this surgery is most commonly performed on young adults, it can also be done in childhood: from the age of 5, when the ears have mostly finished growing. This helps children avoid bullying and name-calling during their school years. While in children it is performed under general anesthesia, in teenagers and adults it can be done under local anesthesia with or without sedation.
