Special considerations:

1. To be a candidate for this surgery, your Body Mass Index (BMI) must be less than 32 kg/m²
2. You must stop smoking completely 1 month before and 1 month after surgery. Tobacco abuse damages the skin's vascular plexus and puts patients at greater risk of skin ischemia or necrosis during their recovery. (see point 4)
3. Avoid undergoing any of the following procedures 6 months before surgery: Ultherapy (HIFU [high-intensity focused ultrasound]), Morpheus (facial radiofrequency) or other "non-invasive" facial rejuvenation methods, as these devices also damage the vascular plexus of the skin and give the patient a greater risk of necrosis or ischemia during recovery.
4. Patients with these last two predispositions may require additional medications beyond those considered in a routine recovery, as well as extra sessions in the hyperbaric chamber not included in the initial price.
