I perform this surgery from inside the eyelid using a technique known as "transconjunctival blepharoplasty." Through this hidden incision, I modify the distribution of the fat that causes dark circles. In some cases, it is enough to remove it, while in most I prefer to reposition it in the nasojugal groove (tear trough), which acts as a permanent and natural filler to correct that groove. Finally, and only in cases with excess and wrinkled skin, I perform a skin tightening and trimming through a hidden incision under the eyelashes.
